Big show tomorrow!

Big show tomorrow with our friends Fumbles In Life for their last show after about 10 years of activity! There will be lot of surprises so I'm sure we'll have some fun. With us and them there will be also two bands from Portugal that I really like: Pressure and Critical Point, two sxe youth crew bands from Faro that kick ass! They're doing an Euro tour to promote their new EPs. Take a listen, I think we're too lucky to share the stage with them!

Positive Artlooks for Upward

visitate il suo blog "It's my Positive Artlook"! http://positiveartlook.blogspot.com

And now also the artworks for Upward are finally ready! Either the writing and the drawing are made by an American guy called Jay, he did some logos also for Alert and Outlast. Visiting his blog I felt really impressed for his drawings, so I decided to write him two lines about us, asking if he was free to draw something for Upward. After a few weeks he sent me two logos that I totally love. The Youth Crew guy will be printed in the back of our first t-shirt, as a NFAA's rip off, the logo will be used for other stuff.

Working on new artworks

We're working on new artworks for the new Set Me Free t-shirt and the first tees of Upward!

With SMF, we decided to do a rip off of Wide Awake (Schism) t-shirt. Yesterday I did some photos to Stizzo (our drummer) and I started to work on them... here you can see a preview of the back! This is just a proof.
With Upward we decided to do a more complex work, but it's a secret! :)

Tapes

A few months after our release party, a Malaysian guy called Akmal asked us the permission to print a cassette version of our ep under his new label Learn To Trust Records. We totally agree with this proposal, because tapes are really cool and here in Italy we stopped using and printing them in the 90's. So if you like our ep Only One Flag and you want to buy a cassette version, visit Learn To Trust Records store or better if you're European  Straight & Alert Records store from France.

We're Right!

We're not in this alone! Un altro gruppo straight edge old school emergente formato da alcuni nostri amici che suona(va)no già in altre band (Stop Talking, Inner Reason, La Crisi, Traces of You).

We're not in this alone! Another sxe old school band from Italy with members of Stop Talking, Inner Reason, La Crisi and Traces of You, all big friends of ours! We saw them when they played with us at Supertouch show, and now they uploaded their first demo "Alert!"
Take a listen!

Upward

From this February me and Gabri (Set Me Free guitarist) started to play together in a new, but classic, old school band, with other guys that really rock! Two weeks ago we recorded at The Box in S. Giuliano Milanese our first demo made of 2 tracks. Anyway during May we'll come back in studio to record a full Ep.
I want to say thanks again to Marco and Demis from Effort Mobile Studio for their help.
Check it out!

Line up changes!

Francesco last show 3 Dec 2010 @ RnR

During December, Francesco (our old singer) told us he preferred to leave the band due to other commitments and works. So after a last show at Rock N Roll with Maze and Duck Pond, we started to search a new singer. A few weeks later we asked Dan (Product / No More Fear) and in January he joined the band. Until now we had 3 shows together, and he's starting writing new lyrics for our new songs!

This is Product, one of the greatest old school straight edge band here in Italy!

Set Me Free

Gianluca & Set Me Free

Why am I opening this blog? Simple, because I thought I had some fun to write on it. I just want to share with some friends around the world our experiences and thoughts without limiting ourselves to a Facebook or Twitter status. There's nothing new, lot of bands have a blog ... sincerely that's just a proof, and I'll stop writing if I get bored. Anyway I'll inform our readers and fans of what we're doing and what we'll do.
I decided to attach an English version of my messages, and I apologize in andvance for my low skills.
